Paper crafts
Paper craft templates for cutting machines and scissors
Paper projects need two things machines often confuse: cut lines and fold lines. The studio keeps them on separate layers for printing and for cutters with a scoring tool.
Layers that mean something
- Cut lines → through-cut; fold lines → score (or printed in blue for hand folding); artwork → pen / engrave layer.
- Craft cutter packages keep the SVG size and the layer names; print packages give 1:1 and tiled PDFs.
Start points
- Blank canvas with rectangles, slots and tabs you draw yourself.
- Trace a drawing or logo for decorations.
- Cardstock layered name tag template on a cutting plotter.
What we do not promise
- Validation covers geometry (closed outlines, minimum detail, duplicate cut lines, fit on the sheet or page), not your machine: power, speed and blade settings stay with you — cut a test piece first.
- A photo has no scale: traced artwork gets the width you type; dimensionally exact digitization needs the calibration-sheet flow.
- CNC toolpaths and 3D printing are not generated; the 2D profile can be exported for your own CAM software.
Frequently asked
Does Cricut Design Space keep my fold lines?
Fold lines are exported on the SCORE layer; assign the scoring tool to that layer when you import the SVG.
Can I print instead of cutting?
Yes: switch the process to home printing and the package becomes 1:1 and tiled PDFs with cut lines in red and fold lines in blue.
What paper weights?
Paper and cardstock profiles are included; the check warns when details fall below what a cutter weeds reliably.
