Make printable paper templates at 100 % scale
Printing a template is the cheapest way to prototype. The studio outputs a PDF that prints at exactly the size you designed and tiles large designs across pages.
What you get
- A 1:1 PDF, one page per canvas, with a 100 mm ruler to check your printer.
- A tiled PDF for designs larger than one page: overlapping tiles with crop marks and page labels.
- Cut lines, fold lines and artwork on separate layers with distinct colours; the SVG is included for reference.
Typical uses
- Sewing and leather patterns, paper boxes and envelopes, stencils to transfer onto wood, placement guides for hardware, mock-ups before laser cutting.
Print correctly
Choose 100 % / actual size in the print dialog, never fit-to-page. Measure the ruler on the first page; if it is off, your printer scaled the page. Tape tiled pages along the overlap marks before cutting.
What we do not promise
- Validation covers geometry (closed outlines, minimum detail, duplicate cut lines, fit on the sheet or page), not your machine: power, speed and blade settings stay with you — cut a test piece first.
- A photo has no scale: traced artwork gets the width you type; dimensionally exact digitization needs the calibration-sheet flow.
- CNC toolpaths and 3D printing are not generated; the 2D profile can be exported for your own CAM software.
Frequently asked
Which paper sizes are supported?
A4, US Letter, A3 and Tabloid, or a custom paper equal to your canvas. Tiled PDFs use A4 or Letter pages.
Can I add holes and folds?
Yes: holes are drawn as cut circles, fold lines live on the Fold layer and print in blue.
Is the printable PDF the same as the laser files?
Same geometry, different package: printing packages contain the PDFs and an SVG; laser packages add DXF and the assembly sheet.
