Cutting plotters

Layered SVG cutting files for Cricut- and Silhouette-style plotters

Clean, layered SVG with your name and your size — fonts already converted to outlines, score lines on their own layer, no hidden surprises when you import.

Built for weeding and layering

  • Two-layer name tags and signs on cardstock: a back layer, an inset front layer and raised letters as separate pieces.
  • Connected script fonts (Pacifico) merge into one piece per word, so names stay intact when you lift them off the mat.
  • Tiny pieces are flagged before you cut; letters that would not survive are refused instead of silently shrinking to dust.
  • Engraving is impossible on a plotter, so engraved text becomes a SCORE layer you can run with a pen or scoring tool.

What the SVG contains

Physical width/height in millimetres with a matching viewBox, so the design imports at true size. Groups are named CUT_OUTER, CUT_INNER and SCORE; the colour of each group is only a hint. No embedded fonts, scripts, filters or external images — just paths and circles.

Mat and material sizes

Choose a 305 × 305 mm or 305 × 610 mm mat preset, or type your own usable area. Parts are laid out with margins and spacing and never overlap. Cardstock around 0.35 mm is the default; the engine warns when a plotter is paired with thick material.

Honest about plotter formats

We deliver standard SVG and DXF. We do not promise proprietary machine formats or automatic brand-specific features; import the SVG through your machine's own design software, keep the layer groups and assign the score layer to your pen or scoring tool.

Frequently asked

Can I use my own font?

Not yet. Three licensed fonts (a clean sans, a classic serif and a connected script) are built in; text is converted to outlines so nothing depends on installed fonts.

Will small letters work on cardstock?

The engine refuses letters below 4 mm cap height and flags raised pieces smaller than 4 mm. For intricate names, use a larger tag or the engraved/score mode.

Is the SVG also usable on a laser?

Yes — the same layer names apply. Switch the method to laser in the editor to get engraving instead of a score layer and laser material presets.
