When a request leaves out a value the design needs, the assistant picks a sensible default and lists it under Assumed (check these). Nothing is assumed silently.
Common assumptions
| Assumption | Why it matters | How to change it |
|---|---|---|
| Material and thickness | Joints, slots and the minimum detail size depend on it | Clear the selection; Material in the right panel |
| Overall size | Decides the price tier, sheet fit and text size | Select the object; Width / Height |
| Hole diameter and margin | Screws and cord must fit; holes too near the edge break | Select the hole pattern; Pattern settings |
| Text size | Small engraved text can become unreadable | Select the text; Cap height |
| Process | Decides layers, file formats and allowed materials | Fabrication → Process |
Before you buy
Open Check & output. The engine's own assumptions — inside dimensions of a box, divider slot widths, the thickness used for joints — are listed under the price. These come from the geometry, not from the assistant, and are what the files are built from.
