| Problem | Why it matters | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Two parts overlap | The cutter cuts through both; you get slivers | Move them apart, or Union them into one part |
| Hole outside any part | It would cut a loose disc | Move the hole inside a cut outline |
| Engraving outside any part | There is no material to engrave | Move it onto a part, or put it on Cut if it should be its own piece |
| Holes overlap each other | The cut-outs merge unpredictably | Move apart or Union the holes |
| Hole too close to an edge | The thin bridge breaks | Move it inwards or make it smaller |
| Self-intersecting outline | The outline crosses itself; inside and outside are ambiguous | Edit nodes so it does not cross, or Union it with itself |
| Part splits into pieces | A thin neck separates the part | Thicken the neck or accept separate parts |
