Troubleshooting

My geometry validation failed

How to read the manufacturing check, find the object behind each error, and fix the most common problems before export.

Updated 2026-10-24 1 min read

Read the check

Open Check & output. The top line says either Geometry validated or N issues to fix before export. Each item has:

  • A plain explanation of the problem.
  • Fix: the suggested change.
  • The affected parts — click a part name to select it on the canvas.
  • A code, such as OPEN_PATH_ON_CUT_LAYER, and a link to the matching guide.

Errors (red) block export. Warnings (amber) are things to review. Notes (blue) are information.

Most common errors

Message mentions Guide

Other messages

  • Nothing to make — the design has no closed outline on a cut layer. Draw one, or switch to home printing for a flat template.
  • Image is not geometry — an image is a reference only. Trace it to get outlines.

Fix one error at a time; the check updates as you edit.
