Printing is the cheapest way to make a pattern, stencil, sewing or leather template, or a mock-up before cutting wood.

Set up the design

  1. Start a new design with Home printing, or switch an existing design with nothing selected: Fabrication → Process → Home printing.
  2. Choose the Paper: A4, US Letter, A3, Tabloid or custom (the canvas size).
  3. Draw your template. Use Cut lines for lines you will cut with scissors or a knife, Fold lines for folds and Artwork for text and markings. Notes are for you and are not printed.

What you get

File Use
cut_files/cut-sheets-1to1.pdf One page per sheet at exact size, with a 100 mm check ruler
cut_files/cut-sheets-tiled-A4.pdf (or Letter) Large designs split over several pages with overlap and alignment marks
cut_files/sheet-01.svg The same geometry for drawing programs
instructions/project-instructions.pdf Overview, part list, printing steps and checks

Cut lines print red, fold lines blue and markings black.

Follow printing at actual size: choose 100 % / actual size, measure the ruler, then cut.
