Troubleshooting

My design exceeds the machine bed

Fix parts that are larger than your laser bed, cutting mat or paper, or that sit outside the canvas or sheet margins.

Check your machine size

With nothing selected, look at Fabrication: choose your Machine, or set Bed width and Bed height to your machine's working area (not its outer size). For printing, the Paper decides the page.

If a part is larger than the bed

  • Make the part smaller, or
  • Split it into pieces you join later (draw the pieces separately), or
  • Use a machine with a larger bed.

A single part cannot be split automatically; the check names the part and its size.

If parts are outside the sheet or canvas

  • With Layout → Keep my placement, the canvas is the sheet. Move parts inside the canvas, away from the edge (a margin of 5 mm is kept), or enlarge the canvas.
  • With Auto-nest on bed, parts are packed onto as many sheets as needed. If something still does not fit, it is larger than the bed.

Printing

Designs larger than the paper are tiled across several pages automatically in the tiled PDF.
