Troubleshooting

My material is not suitable for this process

Resolve material and process mismatches — vinyl on a laser, wood on a cutter, sheets that are too thick — by changing one or the other.

The process and material are checked together, both in Check & output and under Fabrication compatibility.

Message Fix
Plywood, MDF or acrylic cannot be processed with Cricut / Silhouette or a vinyl cutter Switch the process to laser cutting, or choose cardstock, paper or vinyl
Vinyl cannot be processed with a laser Choose a vinyl cutter. Lasering PVC releases harmful gases
Thicker than the process can cut Use a thinner sheet (about 2.5 mm for craft cutters, about 1 mm for vinyl cutters) or switch to laser
Material not listed for this process The combination may work but is not in our profiles; test carefully
The coaster holder needs a laser and a rigid sheet Turn off the holder, or switch to laser and wood or acrylic

Change the process or material

With nothing selected, use Fabrication → Process and Material in the right panel. The compatibility report updates immediately and lists the files you will receive.
