Create a design from a description and photos

Describe what you want, add up to eight reference photos, tell us what each photo is for, check what we understood and turn it into an editable design.

Photos show us the look you want. Your words and the sizes you confirm decide what gets made. Nothing is generated until you have checked what we understood.

Steps

  1. On the home page or Create, write what you would like to make in the box.
  2. Choose Add photos (or Take photo on a phone), or drop photos onto the box. You can add up to eight JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC photos.
  3. For each photo pick what it is for under Use this photo for, for example Decorative details for a pattern or Interior layout for compartments. Add a short note such as “use this pattern on the lid”.
  4. Tap the star to choose the primary photo. Use the arrows or drag to reorder, rotate a sideways photo, or zoom to check details.
  5. Open Size, material and process to enter sizes you know, the material and how you will make it. Choose later is fine.
  6. Choose Create My Design. You land on Check what we understood.
  7. Read the sections: what we saw in your photos, what you asked for, what we interpreted or assumed, and what is still missing. Each item shows the photo numbers it came from.
  8. Under Confirm your design pick what to make, settle any Your photos disagree choices, and fill in every size. Keep or drop each feature.
  9. Choose Create editable design. The design opens in the studio built from parametric components, so every size stays editable.

Sizes from photos are only suggestions

An ordinary photo has no scale, so we never turn a guess from a photo into a manufacturing size. A size read from a photo appears as “Estimated from photos: about 95 mm” with a Use 95 mm button. It is only used if you choose it or type your own value. A ruler or tape in a Dimensions or measurements photo helps, but you still confirm the number.

Features we cannot make

Some features cannot be generated yet, such as hinged lids, drawers, curved panels, handles and feet. They are shown crossed out with the nearest alternative, and they are never added silently. Decorative motifs such as a star or heart are placed on the Reference layer for you to move onto the right part and switch to Engrave.

Photos in the studio

Open Reference photos in the left rail of the studio to add or remove photos, change what each one is for, and annotate them with arrows, circles, highlights, numbered markers or comments. Compare shows a photo next to your design with a checklist. Ask AI opens the assistant with that photo attached. The assistant’s proposal is previewed and can be undone like any other change.

Tracing a flat template to scale

To copy a flat paper or fabric pattern exactly, choose Trace a flat template accurately under Size, material and process. That uses the calibrated photo tracer with a printed calibration sheet, not the AI.
