| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Text too long or no room | Shorten it, lower Cap height, or make the part wider |
| Text was shrunk to fit | Check the new size in the assumptions; enlarge the part if it is too small to read |
| Engraved text too small | Raise Cap height; very small engraving fills in on wood |
| Unsupported character | The font has no glyph for it (some symbols and emoji). Choose another font or remove the character |
| Stencil letters with closed counters | O, A, B and similar letters would drop their centres. Use engraved or raised text, or a stencil font with bridges |
| Border too wide | On a layered sign, reduce the border so the text has room |
| Nothing to engrave | The engraving text is empty; type it or turn engraving off |

All fonts are embedded and converted to outlines, so the files never depend on fonts installed on your computer.
